Product Description

The RuBECi®, a self-contained ultrahigh vacuum system, is designed to enable the easy production of Bose-Einstein Condensates and related forms of ultracold matter for R&D and educational applications. The system can be used for a wide variety of projects, ranging from basic research in quantum physics to the development of sensors and new technologies that are based on cold and ultracold atoms. The RuBECi utilizes a two-chamber vacuum system: a lower 2D MOT source chamber, an upper ultra-high vacuum science chamber. The instrument utilizes an atom chip which enables simple and rapid BEC production with high duty cycle and low power consumption. The RuBECi is shipped permanently under vacuum and ready to be used with an appropriate optics package, such as the Physics Station or Physics Platform.
