ColdQuanta in Oxford, UK
November 21, 2017
ColdQuanta is thrilled to announce that we have secured new office and lab space at the Oxford Centre for Innovation. We have engaged our first full-time employee. We are currently seeking full-time scientific and technical employees to help develop quantum technologies in UK. ColdQuanta UK Ltd was founded as a subsidiary in 2015 to provide cold and ultracold atom components, systems and expertise to the burgeoning UK quantum technology sector. Originally located in Warwick, our new facilities will be the home of our upcoming project PICAS funded by Innovate UK. In partnership with M Squared Lasers, PICAS will develop a Photonically Integrated Cold Atom Source to enable quantum technologists in the UK and throughout the world. The project is part of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme, originally announced in 2013 and launched in April 2015. This £270 million investment funds a national network of Quantum Technology Hubs to explore the properties and bring to market the applications of quantum mechanics (http://uknqt.epsrc.ac.uk/).
