The typical rubidium MOT temperature is around 150 to 300 μK. It is possible to achieve temperatures of the order of 10 μK using sub-doppler cooling techniques.

Q. How many atoms are typically in the miniMOT?

It depends on the alignment and tuning of the laser beams, but on average 50-100 million.

Q. What is the level of vacuum in the RuBECi?

Approximately 1×10-9 Torr.

Q. Can BEC be produced in the miniMOT?

No.  BEC cannot be produced in the miniMOT, however, can be achieved in the RuBECi.
